David Vanderport is the Founder, President and Senior Consultant in the Denver office. He started Extant to fill a niche in the trial support technologies and communications field.
David specializes in persuasive communication, trial presentation development and training for legal professionals. He's worked with many of the nation's top law firms on matters relating to patent conflicts, fraud, product liability, contract disputes, criminal, and medical malpractice. His style is said to be intuitive and understanding of intense work climates. His ability to develop strong bonds and quality work are key in supporting you trial.
Prior to eTrial, David was a Manager of a Trial Practice consulting group where he led teams to produce strategic and tactical initiatives. Other positions include Director, Training Manager and Consultant and fundraising manager.
He enjoys speaking to large groups about the benefits of a thorough, sophisticated courtroom presentation. Some recent topics include: "Linking Electronic Evidence to Trial Support", "Best Graphics and Practices"; "The Good Bad and Ugly of Graphics in Trials"; and "Preventing Legal Malpractice: Perspective from the Non-Lawyer."
David is a member of National Communication Association and American Society of Training and Development. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Communications from Illinois State University.
